Operation SNIP began as Troy Trap-Neuter-Return,  a program to trap, neuter and return outdoor, feral cats living throughout Troy, New York’s abandoned buildings and alleys.  Former Troy City Council President and current Troy City Council Member Lynn Kopka announced the program in March 2012.  Still going strong, Operation SNIP finds, in addition to feral cats,  many friendly cats who have been left on the streets.  These cats are now being offered for adoption to loving, responsible homes.

Web-LogoAdoptable cats are offered for adoption through our Facebook page and other animal care groups in the Capitol District.
